MPs to hold press conference over incinerator costs
Two Norfolk MPs are this afternoon due to announce how much the controversial King’s Lynn incinerator plan is likely to cost.
Elizabeth Truss and Henry Bellingham have put together a report on the proposed waste plant and have looked at the prices of alternative schemes.
They are due to hold a press conference at 2.30pm and are expected to call on Norfolk County Council for “financial clarity in relation to the proposed plant”.
But Tom McCabe, from the council, says it has already produced a document showing a fair price for the project.
